ONA has been manufacturing
electrical discharge machines for over 52 years
under the same family ownership. The machines are
built in Durango, Spain and ONA is the oldest EDM
company in the European Union.
2.
Why haven't we heard
of you?
ONA only began importing
EDM's to the United States around eight years ago.
ONA is known worldwide for their large scale
diesinker and wire EDM's.
3.
Do you
still build only large machines?
ONA
builds the largest submersible wire EDM in the world
and very large diesinker EDM's including a twin
head EDM. They also build a complete array
of midsize and small EDM's to suit the needs of
the customer.
4.
Why
should we consider purchasing an ONA?
The
machines are constructed to the highest build tolerances
in the industry and handle much more weight than
the competition. ONA wire EDM's have the lowest
running costs in the industry. They are automation
ready and come complete with 100 Lb. wire spool
capacity wire chopper unit, annealing automatic
wire threading with tip disposal, ethernet capability,
dielectric chiller and a zero cost filtration system
all as standard equipment. ONA diesinker EDM's come
standard with integrated C-axis, linear tool changers,
high speed ram movement, fine finish circuitry,
10,000 hour filtration systems and models with rise/fall
tanks.
5.
Where
does service and support come from?
ONA
EDM has a technical center in Addison IL - just
outside of Chicago. The Addison office provides
parts, service and applications departments. The
Addison facility is a direct Ona office. All of
Ona's technical staff undergo extensive training
at the factory, Many have years of EDM experience
in both wire and sinker applications.
6.
Where
can I get a footprint of an ONA machine?
In most
cases, the brochures have the footprints in them,
or you can email ONA directly at info@onaedmusa.com
